A delegation from the Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (UNIW) attended the Three Generations Appreciation Dinner as a guest delegation. Organized by WADAH, ABIM and PKPIM in Bangi, Malaysia, the event brought together civil society representatives from different generations. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Türkiye’s Ambassador to Kuala Lumpur, Dr. Nevzat Uyanık, also attended.
In a social media post following the event, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim noted that the UNIW delegation had been welcomed at the dinner. Referring to the ideas of the late Siddiq Fadzil, he said that Islamic movements gain strength not only through enthusiasm and slogans, but through knowledge, ethical conduct and a commitment to principles.
Ibrahim also highlighted the importance of fighting corruption, addressing extreme poverty and opposing takfiri ideology, emphasizing that these efforts must remain grounded in good manners and moral values.
The event gave the UNIW delegation an opportunity to meet civil society representatives in Malaysia and witness an exchange of experience across generations.
